An Update from World Harvest Missions

Last month I wrote about CareVactions Specialist, Teri-Ann Ross, her trip to Haiti, and her desire to help make a difference. Well just recently I received a copy of a thank you letter from Miriam Frederick, Director at World Harvest Missions and I thought I would share it with you:

"Dear CareVacations,

"We are so grateful to have received the Oxygen concentrators and wheelchairs, thank you! The need is still so great and often we come across someone who could benefit from your wonderful gift[s]. Please visit us at www.newlife4kids.org and click the Blog tab. Scroll down to the February 17th entry and read about Robinson - who desperately needed a wheelchair. This is an example of some of the kinds of things seen in a country so devastated... a severe need.

"Daily in Port-au-Prince we have people coming to our gate asking for food and the kinds of things most of us have in excess. These precious people who have lost a life's worth of belongings, still faced with the difficulty in acquiring their everyday needs - more tan a year after the earthquake - will find your gift[s] to be a great blessing! Staff tending the needs of a child having difficulty breathing - will again find your gift to be a great blessing!

"We are all about meeting the needs of people and training up children who will be more than equipped for all that their world will demand. Thank for giving and being a part of it! We are so grateful for you, CareVacations! We truly appreciate you!"

We want to thank Miriam and World Harvest Missions for the kind words and note of appreciation, as well as for the opportunity to assist. We are equally appreciative of all that this organization does to help the residents... our friends... of devastated Haiti. We are humbled by the work being done in the region to further the recovery process and proud to be able to say we played a small part in the efforts.
